Butterfly Collage

Today's card is not for a challenge, I made it at the weekend for a customer. The stamp is a new one which I won on Ebay last week. I've no idea of the manufacturer but I loved it from the first moment I saw it in a craft mag recently, and was surprised when it popped up on the screen whilst browsing the rubber stamp listings. I just managed to get a bid in before the auction closed and was thrilled to win. I have coloured it with Lyra Watercolours, the textured background is Lilac Stardream run through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder, the big flower is a Flora Doodle Dahlia and the little one in the middle came from a Papermania pack of silk flowers that I have had for a long time. I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting today. Beryl x

Second Post

Hello again. I have made another card this morning and this is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is to make a card for Spring and also for Friday Sketchers No.45. I always associate lemon and pale green with Spring. I have used another piece of paper that I have had for ages - trying to use up some of the paper laying at the bottom of my box. The cs is new from Papermania and the stamp is one of the Penny Black Hedgies, coloured with my Promarkers. The ribbon is from my box and I have finished with a peel off greeting. Thank you so much for stopping by and also for the wonderful comments you leave. Beryl x

Daisy

My card today is for Sketch Saturday No.44. I have used Daisy from Sugar Nellie for the first time, coloured with my Promarkers. I love this stamp and had to wait ages to get it, because it is so popular and runs out of stock as soon as it is put back onto the website. The papers I have had for at least two years and I can't remember who made them think it might be Papermania. The cs and little shimmery flowers come from my craft box and I have finished it off with peel off borders and text. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and thank you also for all the lovely comments you leave, they are greatly appreciated. Beryl x

The Image is a Cute Daisy May one which I have coloured with my Promarkers. I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting and for all of the wonderful comments you leave. Beryl x

Blogging Awards.

I have been given this award by Lynne, thank you so much, if you haven't visited her blog do take a look she has some wonderful cards there. I am supposed to pass it on to 5 other bloggers, but as it is getting increasingly difficult to pass these wonderful awards on I would like to dedicate this one to all of my followers. Can I also ask please that you don't send me anymore awards. It is wonderful that you take the time to support my blog and leave such amazing comments and my work to be considered worthy enough to receive these awards. I really do not wish to offend anyone, but as I said earlier it is getting increasing difficult to pass them on and it is also very time consuming, and takes up the time I like to spend blog hopping. Thank you so much for understanding. Beryl x

Two in One.

Today's card is to fill two challenges, firstly a fabulous sketch by Dawn for Papertake Weekly and secondly for My Time To Craft which is 'It's Raining Men' The image is Office George from Charmed Cards and Crafts, and I have coloured him with Promarkers and Inktense Pencils. The bp is from a new big Papermania 12x12 pad and the darker cs is also from Papermania. The card is for two of my grandchildren to give to their Daddy. He doesn't work in an office as he's a plumber by trade, but he does spend a lot of time on the computer, and there wasn't a Plumber George lol. Thank you for visiting my blog and a huge thank you for all the wonderful comments you have been leaving lately. Beryl x

Twins

I haven't got a challenge card made today, so I thought I would post these that I made over the weekend. They are for great nephews. I was pulling my hair out because I had no ideas at all as to what to use for 8 year old boys. I wanted similar images, but not exactly the same. I was trawling the net for images of dinosaurs and stuff and saw the word Dragon. Then the lighbulb went on over my head and I remember I had these dragon stamps from Elusive Images. I bought them on a whim a while ago and whilst putting them onto EaziMount thought I had wasted my money, put them in a drawer and forgot about them. I have coloured them with Inktense pencils. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, all of your comments are always appreciated. Beryl x

A first for me

I have never done inchys before, but seeing as my Rainbow Friend Frankie is guest designer for the challenge at InchybyInch this week, I thought I would take the plunge. If you have never seen Frankie's blog do go along as she does the most amazing stuff. I haven't done triple embossing in a while, mostly cos it never seems to work for me, but I am quite pleased with the way these have turned out. I have no idea what I will do with them at the moment, probably be able to use them on a card at some point. Thank you for visiting my blog and if you would like to leave a comment, good or bad, please do. They are always welcome

Sketch and Stash

Today's card is for Sketch and Stash No.6. The stamp is new from a DesignHouse unmounted plate and I have watercoloured using Lyras. The cs is from a new pack of Papermani 12x12 and the paper is from an older Papermania 12x12 set that I have had for about two years. The flowers and brad come from my craft box. The colouring around the edge was done with Colorbox Chalk Wisteria. I actually made a mistake while going around the edge of the image the ink pad slipped, so instead of throwing it away I increased the depth and intensity to cover it up. Thank you for visiting my blog and if you would like to leave a comment please do. I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

Sketch Saturday

Today's card is for Sketch Saturday No.43. I have used Papermania cs in brown and beige and the paper is from a pad I have had for ages and I cannot remember whether it is DCWV or Dovecraft. The image is made up of two elements the Judikins Postage Stamp and the Judikins Serengeti Cube. The central image has been stamped onto glossy card which I have brayered with Kaleidacolor Bouquet. For the life of me I can't come up with something to put onto the small squares, wouldn't be a problem if it was a lady's card can't really put gems or flowers on a card for a man lol. I was going to put on a peel off border but haven't got any plain ones left and the corners from my Cuttlebug are too big. Hopefully I will come up with something before the card is needed. Thank you for visiting my blog to day, and if you would like to leave a comment please do. I appreciate every single one of them - good or bad. Beryl x

3 in 1

Well I have finally managed to get around to entering some challenges again. My card is for three challenges: 1. Rainbow Lady's Challenge, which is for a Birthday Card as Cynthia's Challenge is one year old; 2. Cute Daisy May Challenge which is to use Buttons and 3. The Pink Elephant Challenge which also calls for Buttons. I have used one of the Cute Daisy May images, which are available as a download, coloured with Promarkers. The bp came from a craft mag, the lemon card is from Papermania, and the buttons came from my craft box. Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

First Robo Card

This is the first card that I have made with my Craft Robo but, it is not my design. This is a free file from Joolsedesigns, do go and check out her site she has some wonderful stuff on there and is kind enough to allow us to use her files. It was this design that made me decide to go for the Robo and not the Cricut. As yet I haven't mastered any designs of my own as I haven't had the time to sit and play, hopefully I will be able to rectify that soon. I have used white stardream card and put a piece of pearlised paper behind the lattice and added a die-cut decoupage flower, sorry for the shine on the card from the flash. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Friday Sketchers

My card today is for Friday Sketchers No.43 and I have used my first Sugar Nellie stamp. Which I coloured with watercolour pencils from Daler-Rowney. I have used a pale pink card from Papermania and the background paper also came from a new pad by Papermania, The Big One 'Temptations'. I have used the Swiss Dots embossing folder and also a cut & emboss set for the small circles, both from Cuttlebug. The number came from a Cuttlebug Alphabet. The darker card is Stardream Purple Punch. Thank you for visiting my blog and I appreciate any comments you wish to make. Beryl x

3 in 1

My card today is for three challenges, Firstly for Sketch and Stash No.5, My Time to To Craft which this week is for Hats and finally for Rainbow Lady who gave us a recipe. White Card, One Stamp, Handmade Flower or Two, Ribbon, Peel Off Corners or Borders and the colours Red, Blue and Silver. I do hope Cynthia is feeling forgiving today because my hand made flowers aren't truly hand made, I couldn't find my punches, so I stamped the flowers onto shrink plastic, coloured and cut them. The stamp is an Elusive Images one which I got from the Graphicus Sale. I have coloured the lady with a mixture of Inktense pencils and Promarkers. The ribbon and peel off borders came from my craft box, the text is from a Woodware set and the papers are from the new craft magazine. The ribbon looks a bit pale in the pic, but it shows up quite well in real life. Thank you for visiting my blog today and also for the comments you leave - they are truly appreciated. Beryl x

Ruby Wedding

My Mum asked me to make this Bookatrix Card for my Aunt and Uncle who are celebrating their Ruby Wedding Anniversary this month. The original photo was very pale where it had been bleached by the sun - it was also taken from a distance to include a river. I scanned the pic into PSP and cropped it, then I played with different buttons and managed to get some of the colour restored and finally used the dropper tool to pick up the colour of Jane's outfit to make a frame. I printed it onto Safamat film from Letraset, this let me roll the card without disturbing the picture, the sentiment was done onto Safamet as well. The card is mounted onto Mars Stardream and gold card. I finished off with grosgrain ribbon, some sticky back pearls and two sprays of roses twisted together. I have just realised that I haven't put 40 onto it, doh! I'll do that before posting to Mum. Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I appreciate every comment you leave. Beryl x
